I live in Scotland so when I installed the co-op app I expected to see local charities or charities in Scotland. But nope I get charities for Wales, south of England, Aberdeen but no where near me and the funny thing is at one point I did get charity’s near me but I had not finished setting up the app when I went up to Aberdeen made some purchases and used my co-op got back home(near Edinburgh) and now all it will suggest in places in the south of England. I have never once purchased anything in the south of England and it has my address and everything and still doesn’t work.

It’s a great app which works and lets my select my weekly offers. I just wish it had the add to Wallet feature like Tesco Clubcard and Nectar, this would make it much more convenient in store. That in my eyes would make it 5 star!

Works well but when in shop with poor signal it’s a pain waiting to connect to Wifi or not being able to get card up quickly. Please enable add card to Apple wallet for this reason. Thanks

This is a decent app, tho, I would ask that : 1) Add the Members Card to Apple Wallet for iPhone and likewise go Apple Wallet on the Apple Watch possibly help reduce time at tills. And choice of QR or barcode and favourite shops. 2)An Apple Watch app that can show your weekly choice of personal coupons, and allow you add to Coop card. 3) Show your coop card balance on Watch app. 4) Use the new apple Widgets with different size of widgets that Show current promotions, current coop card balance and your chosen coupons of the week to remind you what coupons you have still to use etc.

The Coop just gets better! I particularly look forward to the ‘money off’ offers every Monday where I can choice from a variety of products geared to my shopping habits and receive 25p/50p off my favourite items.

I have used a Co-op card for years with never a problem. I like apps and have also used Apple Pay for years as well so the prospect of a double tap at the checkout was bound to be a winner or so I thought. The QR is a real pain as the scan area is very small and the camera below the pay point punishes you for inaccurate positioning. I can see that the checkout still has the old optical card scanner for the less tech savvy so why not allow us the option to scan either the QR or the bar code I still have on the card in my wallet but with that on my phone? You might not think this is an issue but Sunday night after 4pm in my local Co-op with the massive queue I just end up paying and walking away as the QR just would not play ball - or is that the intention?

Think the app is great does what it needs to do perhaps more than two offers per week or an ability to change your offer. Also would like it developed for the Apple Watch and be able to store tha card in my virtual wallet.

My review is about the performance of your staff members. Your employee who mostly works at the kiosk where alcohol is based is very polite efficient and very fast. It looks like he’s doing all the work. Please let him know. Other female employees whom l have asked fir help have been obliging at all times please let them know. Two of your male employees were chatting and blocking the aisle when l was last in the store and l was left standing there waiting fir them to move so l could get past. This took too long as they could see me waiting but made no attempt to move to enable me to get past. Please ask them to be mire polite. Kind Regards

I love that I feel safe when visiting my co-op in North Berwick from the traffic lights, to the hand and basket cleaning to the one way system round the store, it may be small but I know I’m safe and the staff are the best, friendly welcoming and supportive. Well done in supporting our community. 👏👏

My App has stopped working. It won’t allow me to log in. Message: we couldn’t load your membership details. I have deleted the App a number of times. I am using an iPhone 12 Pro Max, currently using 4G Any help would be appreciated.

This app is great and use it often. However using the card at checkout is tricky. Having the card option to go into Apple Wallet would resolve this issue and make it a very useful feature.

I have had this app before but our local coop could never scan the barcode on the phone so I gave up on it. However the latest version of the app which allows you to brighten the barcode with one touch , in combination with upgraded scanners in our local coop (Fulwood Sheffield) now built into the chip and pin machines , everything works great. Plus it’s a great improvement to be able to add vouchers / offers in the app to get discounts applied automatically at the till. One improvement request would be an Apple Watch app to display barcode too... with Face ID not working well in a COVID world , the watch is better in shops as it does not need unlocking. I already use the watch for Apple Pay...

This store is a brilliant asset to Moss Side. The staff are polite, friendly and helpful. The store has a wide selection of groceries and drinks. It could probably thrive with some expansion in size. Shop local it’s the best.

Great app, I love how easy it is to use and to support causes local to me. Only thing that would make it perfect would be to integrate with the apple wallet so I can get to my membership card quickly. Are there any plans to add this? Thanks!!

I shop Coop on avg at least twice a week. This app, is a bonus and a welcome upgrade to the beta testing. It’s not perfect. Doesn’t scan at the self checkouts that easily and has missed a few items on offer, but I guess that’s just down to better programming. Still, it’s a welcome improvement for The Co-operative and customers like myself. I appreciate the offer suggestions ahead of time so I know what deals are in store, in store. It’s a very clean and intuitive app.

The app has improved significantly in the past year, allowing by providing access to the Co-op card barcode. However, I’m not giving five stars due to the lack of showing your past transactions directly in the app.

App does not work when scanned it says out of date spoke to customer service and was told to remove app from phone and reapply the app did that and still doesn’t work. Up and running now give 4 star rating

I’ve had a new phone. Worked ok on old one. Since I’ve installed on new phone it will only show my card. So removed and reinstalled. It won’t work at all now. I have an iPhone 11 fully updated. Thx

I love the app when I can use it. Easy to use and select what you want and fast to load into your account to use coupons immediately. I like how easy it is to view your balance and check things within the app. Sadly over the past couple of weeks I’ve found myself booted out of the app after work when I just want to load it, and it keeps saying it can’t load my membership card. Doesn’t happen every day but it’s happened twice this week already and it stops me from going down to the shop as I just go sometimes to use the app. Doesn’t always fix itself again until midnight and by that time it’s too late. An annoying pop up when you get to the till too (the ‘get more offers next week’ pop up just after selecting your offers is unnecessary and wastes time when I just want to move on and scan my card at the till). Could just remove it and still leave it with the same notice on the coupon selecting screen.

I had no problems with this app until a week or more ago. Now I am stuck on the "can't load your profile. Try again " Try as I might, no luck. Reinstalled, rebooted, tried it all. A useless app. Very disappointing as now no weekly offers. Come on Co-op! Get this sorted. 🙄

I wish you could chose more offers as the Lidl’s app you can have all 5 offers on discount. You the coop have more but you can only pick 2. Do the same as Lidl’s have 5 products on discount and you can chose all 5 if you wish too.

Good app, especially being able to add offers to card etc. But I really can’t seem to scan QR code into self service machines, are you meant to be able too? Only downside is it lacks Apple wallet functionality. Would be handy to have the card there with my payment cards with a double click of the lock button, instead of having to physically open the app. Other than that, does exactly what you need.

Great app, great to be able to pick offers to add to your card, however the app has stopped working over 4G and just tells me it’s unable to load my membership profile. This is otherwise a great up with handy money saving offers. UPDATE: the 4G issue is now fixed and I’m having no issues with this app. Great savings offers! 👍🏻

Great that this app finally has a digital membership card. Would be even better if it was in Apple Wallet so we could get straight to it. And if there were some instructions on how to use it. So far I’ve not been able to get it to scan on the self service check outs at our local store. Do the store need a new scanner to read QR codes, or should it be built in with the regular bar code readers that read the physical cards?

Downloaded when click sign in as I am a member says a problem has occurred try again and if I select not a member it launches a browser with a 404 error. I have a fully up to date phone and an online coop account. Why send out mail asking people to use the app when it doesn’t work! *Update* The issue was a conflict with my VPN.

When I tried to use the app barcode for the second time today in a second shop the till told the member of staff my barcode had expired. Had to revert to the plastic card in my wallet ☹️ I assume the till was reading the membership QR code, it was not obvious that this is a separate QR code for offers.

I downloaded the app and for me is great as I don't want to carry the card everywhere. But my local Co-op cant accept the QR code (the machine doesn't work), it would be so much better if you could add the barcode instead. That would be amazing. Thanks!

It’s a good app with few offers that I’ve used. Seems to mirror Sainsbury’s one. Shame the card is not supported in wallet or am I missing something.

My ancient co-op card is falling apart so this app seemed ideal. Unfortunately, it refuses to recognise the number on my card. Worse, the number in the emails I receive from the co-op is different and also gets rejected. Being asked if you are sure you have entered the number correctly without providing instruction what to do if the fault with the app is infuriating. Useless.

Nothing wrong with the app. It’s just I rather have X % off my every shop as a Coop member, not buy buying individual products that someone else choose for me solely because they are reduced in price from maker/manufacturers/brand. Otherwise nice work Coop.

I signed into co-op, and saw an invite to download the app The first screen told me I had not signed in for a while And I should change the password. Any app that can not recognise it is only a couple of hours since I signed in is of no use to anyone and many well be nothing other than a data miner looking for email addresses and passwords. The offers never work at the self service checkouts, the assistant is too busy to deal with problems there as there is only one to deal with several self service tills and usually a queue at the main checkout. The offers tend not to work even at the main checkout sometimes either. A pity Morrisons are going in the same direction. A total waste of time.

Sometimes the app works fine & I can upload my offers easily. This week all I get on the app is that I’ve loaded all my offers when it just shows the ones for last week! Signed in on the web page that shows this week’s offers. I’ve selected them there but still don’t show on the app. May be on the physical card but who knows??

Very nicely design app with a simple and quick and well thought out user experience. Some feedback: You guys really need to add the Apple wallet functionality so we can add our coop cards to the wallet app. Maybe display the current reward balance on the card too. Secondly, it would be nice to see the online shopping web experience in the app at some point. Tall order and maybe many moons away but yeah you guys need it. EDIT: it’s been 4 months since my initial review and you guys still haven’t implemented Apple wallet support, how does it take this long considering the amount of people asking for it? Your priorities need to shift because there’s been little to no useful change with this app in a long time. Overall cracking app

Just downloaded the app to manage my membership offers and it doesn’t allow me to sign in. It just keeps saying something went wrong. Update: managed to download it and sign in. It worked for a few days but not it just keeps saying it can’t find my membership detail but it still allows me to view my digital card. It would b a great app if it works.

I have flagged up this issue so many times over several months and each time I’m told that the developers are working on it. It used to work fine. Why not any more? Working from the COOP app on my iPad and through to the website, I placed an click & collect order. I tried continuing the order on my iPhone, but despite logging off on the iPad and going through the same procedure through the app and onto the website on my iPhone, the order did not appear in my basket. Is this glitch recognised? When I input my membership numbers I was given a 60p discount but I have no idea why. I’d like to know.

The app is fine until it decides to break the login functionality, though you can login to the website perfectly fine. Considering the login screen is a ‘web page’ anyway, baffles me how it can work via a browser but not this app. All I want the app for is to use the digital membership card. Also an unnecessary amount of tracking / linked data is collected with this app.

Why can’t you at least view the QR code when you are offline? There is no 4G signal in any of the stores I use. Also, it’s 2021 just enable Apple Wallet...it’s not hard, happy to show your app development team how to do it! 😜

The app looks great but fails to work in store therefore you aren’t able to take advantage of offers you have downloaded. You can download the offers but if you want to redeem them in store or make money on your card with purchases you need to present your physical card. This renders the app pretty useless as most people like to cut down on carrying extra items and therefore prefer to have the app work so that you just need to take your phone to the shop. Please sort it out Co-op I know you are aware of the fault as it has been ongoing for months now.

This is a pain to use. You have to disable your vpn before you start and then have to reload all your details while people are queuing behind you. It isn't worth the effort.

All was working well enough - though why you can inly pick 2 product-based offers is beyond me - until I asked my wife if she had downloaded the app on her phone as I was using her card on my app. She downloaded the app and used my sign-in but got a password error (well it just says try again) so we reset the password and it worked on my phone but not in hers. We reset it again and even though we showed the password on both phones, we couldn’t now log on to either phone or the web-based account management screen. I can’t believe it is so difficult to reset a password or use two phones on the same account.

It used to work well, now it is annoying. The first time it didn’t work it was because I was using a VPN. I called Customer service, they told me to close the VPN and it worked for a couple of times. I wonder why they are so scared of a security app. It’s the only app that doesn’t work with VPN. Now we are back to square one. It is unusable even without the VPN on. Stopped working a while ago and after the recent update thought I’d look into why. Other negative feedbacks pointed to VPN and on disabling does make it work. Like everyone else, if it’s Coop vs privacy there will only be one winner. Surprised this is a long known issue yet to be fixed.

Not only does this app not work from a mobile network with Cloudflare’s 1.1.1.1 transparent VPN active, it also doesn’t work from my home WiFi network (without any form of VPN) either. In all the years I’ve been using mobile apps and traditional applications, I can’t recall having once come across any other product - especially one from an established brand - which appears to have made such bad technology assumptions. How can I at least make this work from my home between, and what’s the roadmap for when the actual App will be fixed - because this is ridiculous!?
